Alleviating Corneal Blindness in Asia
The Asia Cornea Foundation (ACF), a Singapore-based non-profit charitable foundation, aims to support the promotion of clinical, educational and research activities relating to the corneal and external eye disease subspecialties through advocacy, organizational development and financial support of programmes to prevent, treat and alleviate the impact of corneal blindness.

The Asia Cornea Foundation endeavors to work towards the following objectives:
To work with regional Asian and international ophthalmic institutions, professional and academic ophthalmic societies, ophthalmic industry and other organizations to promote governmental, corporate and philanthropic support for eye care initiatives relating to the treatment and prevention of corneal diseases and corneal blindness, and to promote eye donation and raise eye banking standards in less developed countries.
To assist in funding the development of evidence-based clinical and good practice guidelines and standards in the diagnoses and management of corneal and external eye diseases and in eye banking in Asia.
To assist in the formation of educational programmes, courses and training fellowships for ophthalmologists, clinicians-in-training and allied eye care professionals relating to corneal and external eye diseases, eye banking and corneal surgery, specifically targeted for Asia.
To partner with industry leaders to develop infrastructure support for epidemiological, translational and clinical research programmes in corneal and related fields at a multinational level, with a primary Asian focus.
